Breathwork Training Standards

Assistant Practitioner

To be an Assistant Practitioner, the applicant must have:

Completed a minimum 150 hour training conducted by an ABA trainer or an ABA approved trainer. The training must include a minimum number of Breathwork consultations: 10 as breather 10 as sitter.
Assisted in a minimum of 10 consultations/workshops under the supervision of a practitioner, group facilitator or trainer.

Practitioner

To be a Practitioner, the applicant must have:

Fulfilled the requirements for an Assistant Practitioner.
Completed an additional minimum 300 hour training by an ABA trainer or an ABA approved trainer. The training must include a minimum number of Breathwork consultations: 20 as sitter and 20 as breather.
In addition, sat for 50 clients, of whom 10 are professional standard clients and where one of the 50 clients has completed 10 Breathwork consultations.

Group Facilitator

To be a Group Facilitator, applicants must have:

Fulfilled the requirements for Practitioner and has completed an additional 300 hours training conducted by an ABA trainer or an ABA approved trainer of Breathwork groups of more than 2 breathers.
Conducted a minimum of 20 Breathwork groups as sole leader.

Trainer

To be a Trainer, applicants must have:

Fulfilled the requirements for Group Facilitator.
Assisted in a minimum of 2 Breathwork Practitioner trainings.
Conducted a minimum of 1 Breathwork training.
Conducted a minimum of 1000 professional standard one-on-one sessions since the beginning of the Practitioner training.
Conducted an additional 30 groups as sole leader.
Practiced as a professional Breathwork Practitioner for a minimum of 3 years.
